About Kristan Poast, PHR, SHRM-CP

Kristan is a dedicated human resources professional with extensive experience in both strategic and operational roles. Her passion lies in aligning human capital initiatives with business objectives to drive organizational success. Throughout her career, she has designed and implemented programs that attract and retain top talent while enhancing employee engagement across all levels of the organization.

Kristan prides herself on being a trusted partner to both leadership and employees, advocating for a balanced approach that considers the needs of the workforce and the business.

Her commitment to people-centered solutions ensures that organizations can adapt, grow, and succeed in today’s dynamic landscape. Her clients range in size from 1 to 2,000+ employees in the Omaha metro area, throughout Nebraska and across the United States. She has supported organizations in a variety of roles including fractional, interim and project-based HR leadership. Kristan’s recent client work has focused on manager and executive coaching, recruiting and onboarding, compensation analysis, policy creation, performance management and overall human resources strategy.

Kristan maintains both the HRCI Professional in Human Resources and the SHRM-Certified Professional designations.

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE

In prior roles as a human resources partner, she provided guidance and coaching to operations teams on-site and in satellite locations on a variety of HR functions including resource allocation, leaves of absence, reporting, performance management, recognition, and culture assessments. Kristan also formed strong relationships with managers and executives to implement various human resources policies and procedures with a goal to improve employee relations.

Kristan’s background also includes work at a Fortune 500 company where she directed talent acquisition efforts for five subsidiary companies, implementing processes and programs to attract, develop, and retain high quality talent. She also managed the leadership succession and high potential programs and developed a robust internship program.
